My 97 Mazda B2300 died as I was going down the road, and won't restart. It acts like it's not getting fuel. I ran low lot here lately. Thinking clogged fuel filter. What you think? Melissa

Remove the fuel line from tank side of the fuel filter , operate the fuel pump if a good flow pump is ok , if no flow pump is faulty or fuel line is blocked , refit fuel line to filter, remove delivery fuel line from fuel filter, operate fuel pump, no flow replace filter, good flow check for blockage in delivery line,

Engine dies

if it shuts off while driving down the road. and restarts after 10 minutes, its usually a bad crank sensor that does this. it messes up timing and shuts off fuel supply.

Fuel pressure test is usually carried out with the engine off by bypassing the fuel pump relay.

If the cutting out is caused by anything covered by the engine management a code should be stored in the obd memory. I suggest you have a code read first.

Motor turns over no start. going down the road and died.checked fuel pump.I can hear it and feel it run its ok. and checked fuses there ok

With these new cars, with the multiport fuel injection systems. The line pressure is over 33psi. You have to test the line pressure to make sure it isn't the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
You will need to verify that the car is getting good spark to the plugs and fuel to the cylinders. If there are any other symptoms let me know.
