Turn signals not working on my 98 Mustang. Hazards work fine. Already replaced the multifunction switch. Didn't help.

Hazard lights work just fine, however the blinkers will either flash once or not at all when i click the multifunction switch. This is typically followed by a clicking noise similar to normal blinker function but quicker. Already tried replacing the multifunction switch which changed nothing. Also, not sure if it's any help but I can get either blinker to stay on solid if I hold the switch at just the right angle.

SOURCE: 1998 Ford Explorer blinker problems

you need to go back over all the bulbs. Take each one out and put it back in making sure its working properly. Most likely a bulb is not grounding. I had this on a f-150 that took two days to track down. Good luck

Have you checked the contacts to make sure they have good contact with the bulb base? I have a 1995 Ford Contour. The turn signal went out. I replaced the bulb and it would work when it wanted to. I checked the contacts and sure enough they weren't making good contact with the bulb. I took a screwdiver and slightly bent the contacts a little. It has worked good ever since.

you need to replace the blinker lever switch the whole unit take it to a dealership if you can't replace it yourself and be prepared they cost an arm and a leg but if you can fix ityourself check out a local junk yard for amatching car to see how it comes apart b4 you tear into yours.. but also could be the flasher located deep under the driver's side

2012 fiesta hazard lights not working is there a fuse for them ?? Indicators work central locking flashes to lock and unlock ... or maybe there is a relays for hazards ?? ..Help

A electronic control module ,BCM body control module or a SJB - smart junction box ford calls their body control module .
Principles of Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) monitors the multifunction switch position by sending multiple voltage reference signals to the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is in the LH or RH TURN positions, or the hazard lamp switch is engaged, that input signal is routed to ground.
When the SJB receives a request for a turn signal or hazard lamps, the SJB supplies voltage to the appropriate turn lamps.

  • The hazard lamps are inoperative/always on
  • Circuitry
  • Hazard lamp switch
  • SJB
  • Go To Pinpoint Test O

Pinpoint Test O: The Hazard Lamps Are Inoperative/Always On
Refer to Wiring Diagrams Cell 90 , Turn Signal/Stop/Hazard Lamps for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation The smart junction box (SJB) sends a voltage reference signal to the hazard lamp switch through circuit CLS32 (BN/YE). When the hazard switch is engaged, the voltage signal is routed to ground through circuit GD116 (BK/VT). When the SJB detects a request for the hazard lamps, the SJB sends voltage to the appropriate turn lamps.
DTC B1875 - is an on-demand code that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the hazard lamp switch input circuit.
    Possible Causes
  • Circuit CLS32 (BN/YE) open or short to ground
  • Circuit GD116 (BK/VT) open
  • Hazard lamp switch
  • SJB

I can't find the turn signal flashers on my 99 Olds delta 88 but I did find the emergency flasher. Does it have one or two flashers because my signal light are not working at all HELP PLEASE!!

One flasher only. Check fuses first. Then suspect the flasher as a possibility. I have seen the hazard switch cause the turn signals to malfunction. Try pressing the hazard button in. If they work and flash as hazards you know the bulbs and flasher are ok. If the turn signals then work you have a defective multifunction switch (the hazard/turn signal/etc switch)

No Low beam head lights and no turn signals or hazard lights. Already changed the multi function switch. What to look for next?

When you had the wiring loose for multifunction switch, if possible, knowing what color wire did what, using wiring diagram, I believe you could have used jumper wire to bypass multifunction switch to see if this or that system would work, if it doesn't, the multifunction switch probably wasn't the problem. On older vehicles it was probably easier to do something like that. Could be issue with wiring in steering column or clock spring, where applicable.Your low beam from dimmer switch goes through drl relay, with relay not energized. At the low beam head lamp, tan wire is voltage, black wire is ground.

Turn signals and Hazard no longer work

Fast clicking is caused by a higher than normal current being applied. Normally a short or a aftermarket relay that requires less current to switch. Sounds like the entire multifunction switch is bad.

2005 Impala, directional signals inoperative. Flashers are working. Replaced the hazard warning switch. Still no directional signals, hazards work. Now, car will not start.Buzzing sound from hazard sw

There is a good possibility that the hazard warning and directional signal lights have nothing to do with the starting or operation of the engine. There are many things that might cause the car to fail to start. The battery must be fully charged, and in good working condition. No corrosion on the terminals. good solid connections. When you turn the key the starter motor should turn the engine over. If that works the carburetor will need gas. If you have gas and spark, the engine should run. Hope that helps.
Turn signals work with the tail lights and parking lights on the front. You should turn on the Head lights and check to see if the tail lights and parking lights come on. You will also want to check to see if the flasher is plugged in. All the light bulbs must be plugged in and working to operate the flasher for the turn signals. good luck
