Question about 2010 Cadillac CTS
When I start the car the message, "driver door open", comes on the message center. I can reset it by pushing the check switch but the next time I start the car it comes on again. As soon as I turn the key off the radio goes off as if I opened the door. Probably a bad switch but can't locate switch. Where is it?
Should be on the door post or maybe in the closer mechanism..most are faily close to one of the door hinges..

Check all fuses both inside the car and under the hood. Consult the owners manual for the location of the fuse boxes.
Otherwise, have a mechanic troubleshoot the cars electrical system.

SOURCE: 2006 STS drivers door won't
something came off inside your door, remove the panel and look for a plastic rod connector either off or broken. If it is off go get a new one their very cheap.
The other thing is the door lock actuator could be bad,you will know when you get inside, work the all the electric do dads and watch the motor react.
