Battery cables can be purchased at any auto parts store. Always remove the Negative cable first. The positive cable connects to the solenoid to the starter. After removing both cables, connect the positive cable to eh solenoid to the starter, and route it up to the battery. If the new battery has protective caps on it, leave them on for now. Connect the negative cable to the ground. Connect the positive cable to the battery (remove the caps) Once secure, connect the negative cable to the battery (be very careful not to touch anything metal) IMPORTANT: Make sure the Positve cable is connected tot eh Positeve battery terminal (indicated by the + sign. The Negative cable connects to teh Negative post indicated by the - sign. I hope this answers your question fully and best of luck to you!

check your alternator. To do that take a volt meter and check the voltage in the battery with the engine NOT running. It should be around 14 volts... but for the sake of testing lets say it is 12.5 volts. Now start the engine and check the batter voltage again. If it is lower than 12.5... The alternator is shot

Could be that the battery drained.. Maybe something left on 'ie - interior light or something.

Try putting a battery charger on the batt.

Some time when i start my 01 blazer theres nothing and then bam

Check your battery cables and connections,if you access to an ohmmeter you can check them, clean any corrosion on the cable clamps and battery posts, pull the negative cable off the motor and clean it and the spot on the motor it bolts to.Place a lead on each end of the negative cable, you should get a 0 ohm reading or really close to it,any higher than 2 or 3 ohms and the cable is bad, repeat the procedure with the positive cable.Be sure to have the thecables undone from the battery, placing an ohmmeter on a live circuit will burn up the internal fuse or burn up the meter. If the cables check out good look to the starter solenoid.Hope this helps,

97 chevy blazer

There are no free full diagrams on the net, you need to charge and test the battery, clean the battery cables and run a voltage drop test as well, replace them if the are badly corroded. Kragen will test the battery for free.
