I have a 97 chevrolet blazer, when i turn the key i get nothing on the dash no lights etc. The vehicle obviously desn't start. This usually happens on cold damp mornings, if i persist on turning the key, eventually the dash lights will come on and the vehicle will start fine. I think maybe a dodgy ignition switch ????

I had the same exact thing happen to me, I have a 97 blazer and after hours of screwing around with it and several different options... it turned out to simply be the ignition switch.

I have a 2001 chevy blazer and i had a smiler problem. I bought a new more powerful battery and the problem went away. I this helps.
