Always check for spark and fuel wgrn trying to diagnose a no-start. Check for fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. Look up the recommended fuel pressure for your vehicle. If It's in range then fuel filter probably good. Check for spark by unhooking a wire at spark plug and connecting it to a spark tester and have someone try to start while you watch for spark.
You should be able to remove the upper front forward cam-dust covers. With these out you should be able to align the cams to their timing marks. As for the crank you'll have to rely on the timing mark on the forward crank pulley/harmonic balancer.

You need four things to get combustion in the engine - proper timing, air, spark, and fuel. First, check for an engine error code. If there is none, check for spark by pulling out a spark plug wire and place the lead near a ground. If you have a spark while the engine turns over, then that's one component down. If you don't, check the coil for a spark. If you don't get it there, replace the coil. Similarly, check the fuel filter and air filter. If nothing's turning up, then look at the timing belt.
