2000 Ford Expedition. The roof slid back into the comparment, but will
not close. I know there is power because the opening switch will click
when activated. Trying to close the roof there is no sound.
You may have something binding or stuck. Sometimes the track will get
out of place or jammed and this can break a piece of plastic off and
cause problems. Perhaps the motor has failed.
You will not be able to move it manually, unless you can access the
moonroof motor, by lowering the headliner. Using a 5/32" allenwrench,
you should be able to close the sunrrof, but if you force it may do
more damage. If the motor is inop, this may work for you.
Try looking into the tracks of the sunroof with a flashlight, see if
anything is laying in the channel or looks obviously out of place. Good
luck
