You need to find a level surface with a wall, garage door. pull up to it 16 inches away turn on lights. mark the center of where they shine with a piece of tape. back up15 or 20 feet and turn adjuster screws in or out so lights hit same spot.

Headlights stay on, ignition turned off

If you turn car off and remove key from ignition, th? headlights will stay on until you open the driver side door, its part of an auto on headlight system. you can leave your selector light switch on the headlight position or on the daylight lamp relay (DRL) position. and open the driver side door and the lights will go out and not stay on. so it saves running your battery down. That feature is only on SLE trim line on the Solara.

Need to adjust the headlights on a 95 p/u

There is an adjustment screw on headlight housing which will adjust the vertical height of your lights. Best way to adjust, on a flat fairly long stretch at night, adjust lights then to ensure thats where you want them and they are aligned equally (impossible to do during daylight hours)

Headlights turn on by themselves when vehicle is parked.

Do you have auto lights when it gets dark out? When they come on is it in a parking garage or home garage where its dark If so chances are your switch/relay unit is bad. (or do they come on in daylight too)?

The Body Control Module is the problem.Models with black faced gauges are most noticeable. Also,on rainy, foggy,or overcast days, the headlights will come on,but the instrument panel lights do not.GM states these condition are "normal" and refuses warranty service-Document ID# 1530511
