I bought a 2003 CTs 3 weeks ago. this has happened 3 times already. The radio will stay lit, but no sound comes out at all. Does anyone know what this could be. Everytime I take it to the dealer, radio comes back on and they state they cant diagnose the problem if it is working.

Press F1 and F6 on the radio at the same time and hold down. When you release, all the lights will come on, then a prompt to "clear code" - push the select button (round knob to the right of the radio). This will clear the code. If the engine light does not turn off, unhook battery cables, clean them, then re attach. This has happened to my CTS a few times.
This sounds to me like the antenna wire may have become loose in the back of the radio. It just took a few weeks for it to become free. :) If you can maneuver your arm behind it, you should be able to push the connector back into the hole in the back of the radio. But the safest and most practical way to do it is to remove the radio from the dash and plug it in that way. :)
I hope this helps! Let me know if I can be of further assistance. :)
Its you antenna module above your headliner. It controlls your remote for keyless entry as well as your am/fm reception via an amplifier. GM part number is 12233252 for updated and revised version around $100 bucks online.
