98 caravan cluster not working

My instruments are not working, I checked the fuses there all good, gas, temp, tach, spedo not working. the odometer is only on when the ignition is 1 click back from start and goes away 15 seconds after i turn it to start, the same with the gear indicator, it shows the gear its in when the key is 1 click back from the on position then doesnt show when i switch the ignition to on. Does anyone know where to start?

My cars gauges just stopped working last weekend.

Could be a fuse. Have somebody who knows about cars look at the instrument cluster fuse to see if the wire inside is broken.

Instruments don't work, key stuck in ignition, doesn't shift correctly

Sounds like you need a new car.
With joking aside, the problem with your speedo, tach, gas guage, temp gauge and odometer can probably be one of two things. Check your fuses. If they are fine you may need to replace your cluster panel. I had to have the entire thing changed over my speedo not working right. It was not cheap. You might want to check the relay box under the hood. Does your transmission leak? Check the fuses and relay on it also. Get a new ignition switch and replace the old one if your key is stuck. You can try WD40 on that key but don't expect any miracles. The bearings are likely shot. Sorry I posted all of this bad news. Good luck.

Fuel, temp and spedo not working

Most likely needs a cluster circuit board. Check the fuse to the cluster. If it is good, then the cluster would be suspect.

Speedometer not working

I would hold off on trying to buy a new or used instrument cluster unless your sure thats the problem.... your vehicle is equipped with a speed sending unit and that can be faulty ask your self is the other functions of the cluster working? tachometer, fuel, lights etc? then may only be sending unit for speed have it checked out by a pro or follow instructions of troubleshooting section of your repair manual I always try to keep it simple did you check the fuses and relays? then move on from there. If it is sending unit or cluster heres a place I have used for years to get hceap good used and new parts Peach street autorecycling 18003652341 ggod luck and dont forget to rate me if I have helped.

Gauges not working

Ur instrument cluster is most probably the culprit. Smack the dashboard to see if it helps. If it does, bingo, most probably a bad weld on the cluster circuit board. Happens alot on VW's.
