I replaced the valve cover gaskets, both cv axles, and used universal ATF to top off the transmission fluid. Now the vehicle is shaking and vibrating a lot. The vehicle feels like it has a loss of power. I've warrantied both CV axles thinking the axle was defective. I dont know if its the valve cover gasket side that i messed up or if its the universal ATF i used to top it off, or if still the axles. I'm out of options and thinking its the intake manifold gasket or something wasnt put back correctly after the valve cover gasket was done. any suggestions?
From a quick search online and reading a little in some forums, it looks like the transmission fluid has to meet certain specs, and there may be only a few aftermarket fluids that do. Probably need to check to see if the fluid you used meets the Kia specs. You may have to do a drain and fill at least once if you contaminated it with an incompatible fluid.
You can use cheap carb cleaner to spray around manifold gaskets while the engine is idling to check for leaks. If it sucks the carb cleaner in, the idle will stumble and you found a leak.
Valve cover gasket shouldn't affect engine running. Might cause an oil leak, but that's about it.

It could be the right side CV. Have you thought to put the spare on the right front to eliminate an out of balance tire? Then if it does not help you can switch back when changing the CV.
