There is a drain plug on your accord for this. Run the car to reach operating temp. and remove passenger side front wheel for easier access to drain plug, which is located near the front of the wheel/tire. The drain plug is removed by inserting a 1/2 inch drive ratchet, or extension into the square recess of the drain plug, and then remove like u would a regular bolt or nut. Have a drain pan ready. Replace plug, tighten to 36 ft lbs , replace wheel, with a long thin funnel, add fluid thru dipstick opening with engine running, shift thru the gears several times to allow fluid to flow thru trans. Do not overfill, check level with car parked on level surface. To check fluid level, do NOT screw dipstick in. Let me know if u need more help/info.

Does anyone know Honda's requirement for timing belt replacement on 2005 honda civic lx. I've seen varying comments on line, would like to know Honda's requirement.1.7L Thanks for any help or suggestions....

From the Owner's Manual: replace the timing belt @ "110k miles or 7 years whichever comes first". We have 73k on our Ex and have had no problems with the automatic ... in fact it is the smoothest shifting auto that I've ever driven. I did a fluid change (incomplete ... u can't drain the entire transaxle) at 60k which is the recommended interval for "severe" service.

Honda civic 1992 twin carburators model.

I dont know where do you live, but honda civic 1992 don use carburator, they are fuel injection, you can have coolant temp sensor problem, or map sensor problem, run diagnose jumping the diagnose wires loated in the passenger side, kick panell close to the door wall, better get the repair book in the parts store to locate the conector ,and read how you can run the diagnosis
