Hi! check your owners manual which should be in the glove box. you can
google the same question to see where the trans dipstick is, it should
be in plain site, easy to see/reach. stop by a chrysler dealer, they will
gladly, i think, show you as they are always trying to be nice to win
potential customers!! good luck!! p.s.try a near by auto parts store,
such as autozone also. my nearby store is very helpful, again, to gain
sales in the future! also wal-mart will always help you!! i have recieved
some amazing service from wal-mart all over the u.s.!! jrr

You have to take it to the dealer. Van has no dip stick.

SOURCE: How do you add transmission fluid to a 2000 town

The tranny fluid is added through the tranny dipstick (make sure it's not the oil dipstick). Fluid color should be red and the dipstick should have instructions on how to check level (car in park, engine at idle). Funnels are your friend here.

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

Translation:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.

P0700 Information Code

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.

This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.

P1776: Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low/Reverse Position. The TCM monitors the L/R solenoid to ensure that the fluid transfer happens. It uses a Pressure switch to verify this. Usually this code is set by a switch that is stuck or a solenoid that is not mechanically operating.

A transmission shop would be better suited for this type of work.

How to check trans oil level 2011 town &country

You have to have a special dipstick tool in order to check the fluid in them transmissions! Here's a link to a sight that may help you, but if you do check the fluid the vehicle must be on a lift in a level position to check the fluid.

But, unless the transmission is leaking fluid? Then it would not be low. Unlike engines, transmissions do not use fluids, they would only leak, IF they had a problem.

How to check transmission fluid level in a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country

We check most vehicles in Park position, with the engine running and parking brake set. On vehicles with a dipstick, we must read both sides of the stick. The LOWEST reading is the correct fluid level. If a void or gap shows in the transmission fluid level, the LOWEST reading is the correct reading.
