If you know any one capable of removing the Ignition switch you could then take the switch in to a dealership the dealer ship will probably sell you new ignition switch with keys. The other option is to take it to a locksmith and he may be able to remove the key and as long as you are the registered owner of the vehicle can make a key for it by using the vin # of the vehicle. Hope this helps

2007 volvo v50 key stuck in ignition vehicle totally shut down

It is best to call a locksmith, unless you know how to take apart the ignition tumbler and put the assemly locks in the correct order. It sounds like the key tumbler hold in broke and all the tumblers are loose and causing the key to be stuck. If you want to hurry the job for the locksmith and save money, buy the key tumbler assembly for your vehicle for the locksmith to install. Otherwise he will have to make the trip to buy the assembly, which in turn costs you more money. Mechanic shops can replace key tumblers too but when it is stuck in the column, it takes a lot of effort to remove if they are unskilled.

2000 jimmy ignition wont turn

your tumblers are worn or damaged, some people don't realize if you have to many things on your key chain the weight can cause damage to the tumblers in your ignition. That may not be in your case but I bet the tumblers or maybe even your key is worn out, if you have a spare key try it first.

The ignition key in my '91 Mercedes 300E is stuck and i cant get it out or turn on the car.

Tap the ignition tumbler with a small gammer as you turn the steering wheel and wiggle the key spray some release fluid in as well if you can see if that works it ware in the tumbeler mine does it some times i spray wd40 in the key hole now and again its possiblebthey keys worn and sticking as the key is softer than the metal parts in the tumbler

I cant get my key out of the ignition. I can not pull it out.

Try squrting some CRC lubricate or WD 40, Sounds like a tumbler in the cylynder has stuck and has the key locked in as it does when the car is running. After squrting just a little bit in the cylynder , not a lot turn key to run and then back to accesery and back till you loosen up the tumblers and your key will come out, once you get the key out check to make shure key is not worn , and clean key then spray key with slicone lubricate and run the key in and out of switch just to lubricate the tumblers and keep them from sticking again.if this dont fix it you will need to replace the key switch and you will need a shop to do it.

Key tumbler removal

If you need to remove the whole switch key and steering lock, you need to drill or punch the mounting screw to loosen them, they are called tamperproof and when installed the top breaks of so they cant be removed. If you just need to replace the electrical part, they often come off the back of the key part with a couple of screws, check with a mirror and torch

Cant get key switch out of housing, on a 1974 chevy pick up.Trere are no screws or clips visible.

If you mean remove the ignition tumbler from the steering column, you will have to remove the steering wheel and lock plate, then you will need to remove the turn signal lever and screws, and then pull the turn signal switch up and out of the way, you should then be able to see the housing for the ignition tumbler down in the steering column. Look at the tumbler housing and there should be a small slot towards the end of the housing that you can put a small standard screwdriver into and depress a locking latch that is built into the tumbler. When this latch is depressed you will be able to pull the ignition tumbler straight out of the column.

I have 98 chrysler sebring and my ignition is lock and i cant turn my car on

First if the steering wheel is locked try to turn the steering wheel away from the locked position and and jiggle the key at the same time. If you have another set of keys try them too. I did have one of these tumblers go bad before if the other two things don't work you will probably have to replace the tumbler which is kinda hard to do if you can't turn the key on because to get the tumbler out you have to have the key on and push a button underneath as part of a security so its not easy to steal. You can get it out with a hammer and punch where the button is to force it out but be carefull not to break it. If you dont have a new tumbler right away you can use a large screwdriver to start it temperoly after you get the old tumbler out.

My 1989 ford bronco 4x4 full size, the ignition key wont turn at all,so because its locked up i cant replace key and tumbler from the outside,Is it possible to fix from the inside.

Try spraying brake clean or something to break up the dirt in the tumbler. It is probably gummed up from years of use. If you can free up the pins and springs in the tumbler it will turn. If not you will have to drill it out. Good luck.
