My 97 4 by 4 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 is very hard to start it's getting gas it's getting fire I have to pat the gas vigorously but it will start finally. help!

First you will want to check and clean the throttle body and replace any and or clean sensors. The MAF sensor may need to be replaced as well. sometimes a partial fix.. Disconnect the air sensor and it may start easier. Check all vacuum hoses for splits/cracks and loose connections. Replace Throttle body gasket, check or replace cap, rotor and wires if not done in the last 2 years.

2002 Tacoma hood latch won't release

Try and get someone to push down hard on the hood while you pull the lever, also work the lever in and out, can you see if the metal ring on the wire/ cable is moving back and forth? also does it feel very loose or very tight to pull?

My 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder 2.7 liter automatic 4wd is missfireing on three of the four cylinders. The miss fire is very random happening more and more frequently. I have good compression and timing....

Pull codes from OBD computer go from there. Could be other problems, check fuel pressure, All electrical connectors- loose, water, dirty, ground connections, etc. Could be a failing sensor. How do you know its missfiring on 3-4? one or two cylinders would be a really bad shake. Creek is to deep stay out of creek. Good luck!

Loose gas pedal, i need to push accelerator farther in

the gas pedal is connected by a cable that goes to the throttle body or carburetor on the engine. there should be a nut that holds the cable end in place where the steel cable comes out of the housing near the throttle body. it sounds like this may be loose or stripped out. you may need to replace the entire throttle cable.

2002 accent 175000 miles drove 70 miles no problem, pulled in driveway and engine stalled when starting will start but when i go to put in drive it dies. tried 7 times died. waited a couple of minutes and...

If I understand you correctly, you have a bad TPS (throttle position sensor). nothing more. Replace the TPS... the oil cap has nothing in common with the TPS... that's a fact!

High idle

In most cases with Toyota they will only go in one way and are not adjustable. High idle is a sign of a possible vacuum leak or incorrectly adjusted throttle cables

Tacoma front brakes do not work

it sounds like you are not bleeding in the right sequence around the truck and also the vehicle has to be level. but start at the RR,LR,RF,LF and also make sure the push rod for the master cylynder is actually engaging.

Fuel Door will not open

the cable from the lever to the door has broken. If you look inside the trunk, (sometimes you will have to pull the carpeted side down) right behind the gas door, you will find a short emergency release cable with a loop on the end - grab and pull the loop and your gas door should pop open.

I have a 95 Lincoln Continetal and I can't push the gas peddle down without force. When i pull the cable from the engine the peddle moves fine. Also when I try to move the throttle it will not move.

Hi if the cable is moving freely than it will be either the throttle body jammed or the throttle pedal has ceased, also check nothing has got jammed behind or above the pedal, hope this helps
