Engine management light staying on

I have a 1999 Honda Accord 2.0l executive model. The engine management light has been on for about a year. Garage cannot find the fault despite replacinga sensor and the battery. They turn the light off every time I ask, but it comes back on after a bit. The car itself is running fine.

Try pushing and holding the trip reset button on you odometer WHILE you turn the key to start it. that usually works for mine, but it usually turns back on after 3000 miles (oil change).

My check engine light won't go off on my 1996 honda accord

Get a maintenance check (ECM) check done at a local garage, it will tell you why the light is staying on, and if there is no problems, it will automatically take the light off for you.

1999 Accord LX

Honda's have very detailed diagnostic info that can be read by connecting the plug behind your dashboard to a diagnostic machine.

getting this done at a proper garage/auto electrician will give you the exact problem and save you from buying the wrong parts to fix it again.
