I have a 2002 dodge caravan with a 3.3 in it. I have no power to the tcm unless i take the negative wire off battery then the hole plug has power what should I try

First set park brake,locate PCM in van ...Compare new PCM with old to be sure new one is correct part..You will small tube of dielectric lube..WEAR SAFETY GLASSES..,Disconnect negative battery cable...wipe and blow dust/contamination from around wiring harness plugs...Remove plugs from PCM...,Remove old PCM..lightly lube connecter pins with cotton swab..,plug in wiring harness connectors..re-connect battery cable...Complete..............BROOKS..

HI, the actual p700 is an indication of a stored code that exists within the TCM module. The actual code will be the p0605, which is an internal failure alert that exists within the actual tcm module board sector. There may be board level damage to the internal layout which is causing a major short or misdirection or power to the vital circuits needed to provide necessary direction for the transmission. You will need to replace the module at this point. It is not repairable, unfortunately, due to the state of its design. Once it is replaced, it will need to be re-calibrated by a dealer scan tool before normal speedometer function will resume.

In conclusion, replacing the TCM will correct this issue. I would also inspect all connecters for faults before installing the new module.
