Where can I buy a new battery?
Most portable DVD players use a proprietary battery and when they die, you cannot get a replacement because the company no longer makes it. You can try to get the cells replaced at Batteries+ but I suspect the cost far outweighs the value of the Player...or you can get an external battery that plugs into the adapter port if it has one. You will need a plug that fits the port and a battery the meets the DC requirements. Splice the plug onto the battery terminals making sure the polarity matches and make sure you can charge the external battery by use of its AC adapter or you'll be back in the same place after it runs down. This is a moderately technical fix and should only be attempted by someone familiar with electronics. There might be Fix-it shops near you who can do this but again the cost may far outweigh the value of the Player.
