Hi,

There are several problems with those headsets.
If you're using them for aerobics, then look inside the transmitter.
Often those little switches have corosion due the sweath.
Another problem are is the microphone element and wiring to the transmitter.

I have the same problem. When o remove the interface the led is not flashing as per the instruction manual
