The water runs out around
Good is a pretty decent adhesive and it shuold work. My only concern would be that with the heat of the kettle how will the goop react and will it release any toxic chemicals.
If I were to seal around the outside of the window I would use a high quality silicone caulking. Silicone can easily handle 400 degreese, so boiling water is no problem, and it releases very few chemicals (its even used for childern's toys and cookware).
If the goop works I think you will be fine, but it it releases then scrape it clean, and dry it off well with a hairdryer and then apply some silicone in its place.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
