The spring probably broke in the latch, or the door balance springs are slack. You have to pull it out and removed the side panels. The latch literally just holds it in place. You should be able to tell if the springs are holding the weight of the door though. Then split the door to inspect the latch.

The thermostat for the final rinse booster might be set too high causing the water to boil in booster tank. Water will then spray even when cycle is complete. Turn the thermostat down to 180f or 82c to comply with health regulation. If problem continues replace booster tank thermostat. Or if you have hard water pull thermostat and clean

faulty control board.

The manual will show a bushing under the adjusting nut at door frame opening that holds the door from dropping too far. This bushing usually breaks and disintegrates. Bushing is just over 1" long. Check both bushings on each side of door opening of machine.

Best way is to contact a chemical supply company and have them do it. The delime product should not be mixed with chlorine.

There's only 2 wires doesn't matter which goes where. Check the hi-limit (small round disk) push the button with power off. You'll feel Click if it needed resetting

possibly the thermostat needs replacing

possibly the temperature high limit switch needs resetting, by pushing the centre button in with your finger. Make sure power is off first.

Possibly the seat in the vacuum breaker is not seating properly. Repair with a repair kit, which includes a plastic piston with a rubber seal. Could also leak if the water pressure is weak.

Replace the thermostat.

If the machine still has a detergent pump, then the hose could still be taped to the back of the machine, half way up on the outside. It would have a label on it that says detergent. If the pump is missing then use a commercial grade powder detergent if your health inspector allows it. You would have to put in approx. 1 tablespoonfull each load.

I would check the drain valve for fault.. Sounds like the drain valve is not closing this would cause the machine to drain whenever the motor is on.

If you are using a chemical supplier, then they might be able to check and possibly fix for free, parts extra of course. Contacting moyer diebel or whoever sold you the machine will tell you of an authorized service repairman for your machine.

Hello there
The 500HT machine is very old one. Turn off the power first. To get to the elements you have to get the control box off first so you can get to take off the elements cover , now you can see the elements.
If the system have been wired wrong and short circuit it. the temperature control may have to be change too. I would change the two elements and the temperature control and the hi ltd control all together at the same time so you know that system have no problem anymore. All the best Dickson

Possibly the booster thermostat needs replacing. Expansion of the water in booster enters the wash tank when boiling showing HHH on both displays.
