I have a maax hydro
Hi, the in-line water-heater temperature feature is designed to sustain the water temperature by automatically turning on when the whirlpool pump is activated.
The push button is not turning the moter on
it sounds to me like the air button may not be working. You may have a
small hole in the bellows which is the part that sends the air down the
air tubing to the air switch in the motor. If there is not enough air
being pushed down to the switch it will not activate the motor. You need
a new air button or a new air switch in the motor. Pull the pump out
and plug it into an outlet. take a straw and blow into the air switch
while the pump is plugged in. it the motor turns on then you know you
need an air button on the top of the tub. If the motor does NOT turn on
then you need an air switch for the motor.

The pump surges where's the
if your pump is surging then you do not have enough water in the bathtub or you have a jet that is blowing air into the suction fitting. this happens a lot when a jet faces the suction and the air control is wide open. the suction pulls in too much air and causes the pump cavitation (surging). Try pointing the jet opposite the suction cover upwards and see if that doesn't solve the problem.
As soon as we plug our tub in the blower goes on
that unit has circuit board problems. the OPT-3 box is not made anymore neither is the VTDS-12 control on the motor. You will need to locate a new control system with will probably have to have a new pump as well.
You can locate replacement parts for your system at a couple of different sites.
Hello,
I don't have a problem,
your friend is correct. Actually the oils will not hurt the system either but not sure about Oatmeal in the tub. As long as the jets were not turned on with the Oatmeal thingy going you would be just fine.
