Try to power on the unit without the speakers connected. If it works normally without the error showing, then a speaker wire maybe shorted or a speaker defective. If the error F61 is still there, then most likely the Regulator IC is defective in the unit.

SOURCE: Nide code fore a panasonic cd stereo sistem

if you get a tv repair man he can fix and order the part that is the problem it is a twelve pin plug that needs specilist tools to remove. The part is an amplifier chip, common problem with the sa-ak600.

SOURCE: my panasonic cd stereo system SC-AK600 keeps

sounds like the laser is no longer working. Call partstore at www.partstore.com and let them know what model number you have and that you are looking for a replacement laser for the unit. Replacement is for the mechanically inclined or a technician. The part is static sensitive so I recommend taking the unit to a repair center.

SOURCE: my panasonic sa-ak600 cd player doesn't switch on.

I had the same problem. My unit would turn on, display F61, and turn off. I looked at the manual. It said if you see 'F61', check and correct the Speaker Cords connection. If this does not fix the problem, there is a Power Supply problem. Consult the dealer. Hope this helps.

Check the speaker connections carefully.

5 CD changer, model sa-ak600. What does code f61 indicate?

F61 means that the power amp has something wrong with it.
It could mean the IC501 has failed or that there is something wrong to the power supply to it.
The good news is the service manual is free online. You can get it by simply putting the model number into google and searching for the PDF of it.

The volume gets noisy, cracking sounds and fades out

Your volume control is dirty. Apply some deoxit or wd40 directly onto the module.
