Donna, are you saying the ignitors are not working or that the burners just won't light? Not even by match lighting them? All this makes a difference in providing a solution for you.
Please advise. Thanks

Weber grill will not light

you have to narrow down the problem.when you turn the propane on first at the tank (make sure lid is OPEN) and then turn on the burner control are you smelling gas ? If yes then its simply ignition (BBQ lighter to light manually) if no smell are you sure there is propane in the tank ? Can still feel like fuel inside when empty.if you smell gas but won t light check your venturi valves for spider nests, etc if it sat outside for the winter.it will stop the propane from coming thru the burner.Good luck (my money would be no fuel ) please let me know !

I have a 1991 Norcold 400 series 2 way fridge that works perfectly on AC but won't light on propane.

Clean the spark electrode gap may be to big for spark to jump across to light pilot You will smell gas that fast as it is coming out of the pilot .

Kenmore quantum series gas grill: where do I put the match to light it?

Using the wire match holder that came with the grill. Place the match in the holder, light the match and place it next to one of the burners. Turn the burner ON just enough for the gas to rise and the match will light the burner. Quickly remove the match and continue lighting the remaining burners you want to use.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a Kenmore Quantum grill and all of a sudden the burners do not want to ignite. The propane tank is new. I tried with a lighter to ignite the burners and nothing. The ignitor button doesn't...

The problem you're having is related to the OPD Valve in the Propane Tank. But, it is solvable by following the instructions below.

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Relace your propane regulator, they do go bad form sitting around, had the same problem you have. you should be able to disconnect from the grill, turn on the regulator and smell the propane, if not it's bad.

I have a full propane tank. I bbq'd about 3 weeks ago, same full bottle. Grill will not light. Good spark at ignitor. Used lighter and lit for a few seconds with low flame on high. No other burners will...

Hello,
You may have turned the gas tank valve on too fast. Turn it back off, disconnect it and reconnect it. Then very slowly turn the valve back on. Light one burner at a time and turn to low before lighting the next. If you are hearing and smelling gas with the tank on but all grill knobs off, don't use the grill. You may have a leaking grill valve, regulator or hose. If you are only smelling gas with the knobs on, it's possible you have a clogged burner or orifice from bug nests, spiderwebs, etc and need to clean it out first. Hope this helps. Douglas

How do i light this gas grill, it is a charbroil quantum....it was borrowed from our friend, who is now not picking up the phone...

Checklist:
1-Make sure propane tank has propane in it.
2-Turn regulator (valve attached to propane tank) on.
3-Turn burner dials on, usually there is a "light" or "ignite" position to let the most gas flow to start. If there isn't, just turn it/them to high.
4-Listen for the hissing, if you hear some hissing from the grill, it has gas flow.
5-Turn the dials back off and give 3-5 minutes for gas to clear.
6-Turn dials back on and hit the igniter button.
That should do it! :)

Weak Flames on Propane Grill

It is possible that your burners are clogged. Clean the burner ports with a paperclip (not a toothpick).
