the drip pan is under the unit,, along the edges of some models inside, are little alleys that lead to the drip pan, sometimes they fill with ice and need to be cleaned out , look along the inside walls of the freezer
The drip tray is accessible from the rear of the Grill. It is necessary to lift up the pan slightly while pulling it out. Or depending on how old your VC grill is, it may be located on the left end of the grill (you should see a small handle). In which case you pull it out and was you reach the end of the drip tray, lift it up slightly to remove it.
TIP: To make clean up of the drip tray easier. Spread a thin layer of Speedy Dry (It's what NASCAR & garages use to soak up oil) on the bottom of the drip pan or tray. You can purchase a bag of it, at any auto parts store, When it comes time to clean the drip tray or pan. Just remove the tray or pan and dump the used Speedy Dry in the garbage. Then, spread a thin layer in it again. Actually, because the Speedy Dry absorbs so well, you'll find that you'll only have to dump the tray or pan occasionally.
Hi!
you can get to the drip pan removing the base grill in front of the unit. There is no need to empty the tray, since the water that drips into it is consumed by the evaporator. Some drip pans are even fastened by screws and can't be readily removed.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!
I agree. I have been repairing appliances for 25 years and heve never replaced the style you have. I would be a pretty difficult job. Because of its function, if the caulk is holding you should be ok. I just looked up your drain pan, the Part # is 12477402. It looks like the refrigerator would need to be tipped up and the frame for the compressor and condencor would need to be taken down.
I hope I have helped a little.

Since I accidentally left my drip pan inside the unit and preheated the unit without checking, I am now without a drip pan. The unit really heats up fast and likes to melt plastic. Anyhow, I used a cookie sheet underneath that has a lip around it to catch the drippings. I would suggest that you place your whole unit on a cookie tray so no matter where the grease runs out it will go on the cookie sheet and not your counter.
