To check if the ice maker in your Scotsman SCCP30MA is functioning properly, you can try the following steps:
Ensure that the ice maker's water supply is turned on and that the water line is not clogged or frozen.
Check the thermostat settings to ensure that the freezer is at the proper temperature.
Inspect the water inlet valve to make sure it is not clogged or defective.
Check the ice maker's control arm to make sure it is in the correct position and not blocked.
Inspect the ice maker's ejector blades to ensure they are not clogged or damaged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the problem may be with the ice maker's control module or motor, which would require professional repair or replacement.
It's also important to check your machine's manual, as it may have additional troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
I take it that the machine you have is a under the counter machine if so then the part number you will need is 7629143 and you can order it on line. If you post the model number of your machine then i can make sure you get the right part number. cm3 just means it has the cm3 controller in it.
Check and make sure you have power at plug. if so then make sure you turn machine on. if it is a small under counter unit then the switch is behind the cover down at floor. if not then pull front cover on the ice head and push the freeze tab.
The manual has an exploded parts diagram use as guide to locate parts.
First check the timer, you can manually turn it through a cycle or watch it rotate on its own.
Check the water inlet solenoid valve. if all looks well and you have definite water flow past the valve, then
Check spray pump. You have to remove the rear panel. The pump has a fan on the top. spin the fan if it is at all tight the ;pump is bad.
I have owned 2 of these units and have had failures of all of the above parts over the years.
