Jasjar-no sound-after spilled water on it.

Accidentally spilled water on Jasjar. It was off and I let dry out for 1 day before trying it. Everything works except the sound. With or without the ear plugs..Nothing!

I think you still have a good (not 100%) chance of saving it. It usually takes much longer than 1 day to dry out electronics that are still intact. I would open it up and let it dry. Otherwise, see if have a nerdy friend who has access to a non-humidified incubator and leave it in there for a few days. (that's how I salvaged a phone that went through the wash!)

500 cobra invertor got something spilled on it know won't work

If it was not plugged in when you spilled on it, then you "might" revive it by rubbing clean water through it and drying it thoroughly. If you can remove side panels, blow it out with compressed air first. Then dry it someplace with light air flow (I use our furnace room) for a few days. Then in an air tight container with some rice to absorb moisture for a few days to a week. Then cross your fingers and try it. I revived a Motorola pager that was in Salt Water for a few days this way - and it worked! But at the slightest sound of a snap, (Arcing) stop immediately. It is likely toast but may respond to more drying. Patience is your friend in this effort.

My acer aspire E1 laptop does not power on after I

Do not power it up. If only water it will eventually dry out but beer is sticky and requires proper cleaning. Maybe take apart, rinse with water to remove residues and allow to dry thoroughly covered in rice to aid drying. However if it was on when the spill happened it may well be fried.

Acer laptop doesn't power up after water spill

As I'm sure you are now aware , electronics and water do not mix. That said, Remove ALL power IMMEDIATELY if you get water in /on a laptop. If the power is removed , battery, AC, you can try and dry out the spill, otherwise the damage is done. How much damage I can't say, only a qualified computer tech can ascertain that.

CAN I WASHED MY MOTHERBOARD ?? COS WHILE REPLACING GRAPHIC CARD I ACCIDENTALLY SPILLED SODA ON IT. I HAVEN'T TURN IT ON YET.

At this point, you could try...I would soak it in warm, clean water (no soap!) and swish it back and forth, then set it out to dry for several days in a warm area. After you're completely sure it's dry, you can try powering it on. Good luck!

I accidentally spill water on my LG chocolate phone and it was soaked. I cannot hear the sound of the ring tone when dialed out or when dialing the number.

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

My return key is not functioning on my apple keyboard.

Buy a new keyboard. They are cheap. One possible solution is to allow the keyboard to thoroughly dry and try it. You can pry up the key and look and see if it needs to be dusted out with some air, or cleaned of whatever was spilled on it. Perhaps alcohol on a Qtip on the moving parts. Not sure what "something" splashed on it. Root beer? Water? Big difference. I would visually inspect, try to dust, then clean with alcohol. Let it dry thoroughly and give it a shot. Short course, buy a new monitor. Good luck.

My notebook does not turn on

Yea I would definitely wait for everything to dry out before diagnosing it......sometimes you get lucky and even though components got wet, after they dry the function......I would give it a day or two then try to fire it up again. If you get nothing , start troubleshooting

Laptop speakers not working after water spill, everything else is ok

You stated 'a small amount' and if this is the case, I would leave the power off for a few days, sitting in a warm place to see if your audio returns.

If your water is not too saturated with minerals making it conductive and operating it wet hasn't done any damage, you may luck out.

I have cured some nasty spills (cat urine anyone?) by bathing the device in warm distilled water and allowing it DAYS to dry before restoring power.
