I am not able to hear any voice during phone calls. Even during the dialing there is no ringing sound heard. However, other sounds/voices are ok like phone ring tones, playing an audio clips etc. Also speaker phone is not turning on.
Would appreciate any help.

Well if that's the case, the printer should be detached or powered of during call operations. The printer detects incoming calls that's why it triggers it to operate. Turning it off during operation will surely be the solution.

Check Windows Sound mixer for application volume. Down in system tray at right side of taskbar double click sound icon for XP or click sound icon once and click Mixer for Vista. Look through volume settings for your phone application. Make sure it is not muted and volume is up.
