When i turn on my prs 300, the screen flickers and the light on top is yellow. when its done trying to turn on the light flashes a few times and thats it.. i've tryed several computers and they cant find it when plugged in either..i tested the batt. and its fully charged, and reseting it does nothing..

please look clearly there will be a reset button to restart if there is no reset button then open it with the help of secrew and cut the connection of battery and after few second reconnect the bettery to to turn on but remember the connection should be same as before the cutting mean to and - to - terminals

You can try to do a "Soft Reset" on the Reader. Do not worry, this will not affect your ebooks =)

1. Disconnect the reader from the computer
2. Hit the Reset button at the bottom of the unit for 3 seconds with a paper clip
3. Slide the power switch at the top of the eReader
4. The screen will blink and show opening book.... allow the reader to load

Just in case here are some other steps to try in case this does not make any difference

You can try this:

1.Connect the reader to the computer to charge it for about 15minutes (make sure there is a red steady light at the top)

2. Disconnect the reader and at the bottom of the unit there is a reset button, hit the reset for 3 seconds.

3. Slide the power switch

This should resolve the problem

Mine did the same thing.
I pressed the reset twice for 15 secs on the second time the light stopped flickering then I put it on charge for 2 hrs it works fine now.

There are two types of Reset are present
1)Soft Reset.
2)Hard Reset.

Just pressing the Reset button using compass or needle will just do soft reset,It is not more effective in this case.You have to go for Hard Reset.

Hard Reset:All the data's will be lost once you do this.but will solve your problem.
Hold Reset for 5-10 seconds.
Flip power switch quickly 3 times. If this doesn't work.
check the light next to the power switch. If it is flashing yellow, do the same steps. It might take up to two to four tries.

Try holding the reset for 5-10 seconds, then flip the power switch quickly, three times. If this doesn't work, check the light next to the power switch. If it is flashing yellow, follow the same process. It might take up to three tries.

Sounds like the lamp but it does depend on how old the lamp is. If it is original just change it depending on total hours of use.

since you've tried charging the reader using a non-compatible charger, there might be some internal malfunction occurred in the reader. however, i suggest that you try charging it by connecting it toi the computer. as the yellow ligjht is is blinking, it seems that there is no chrage in the reader. so try charging it by connecting it toi the computer.keep it connected for at least 4 hours. it should resolve the issue.

TV tries to come on - yellow light next to power light flashes but then it turn itslef off.........It tries agin after few sceonds and sequence repeats. I can hear the sound but no video
