It seems that the manufacturer of the Polaroid FLM-373b HDTV either used the wrong parts or there is a design problem. I found someone on the internet who said they replaced two capacitors on the power board and it started working just fine. I took the power board out of mine and sure enough the two caps with the 10v markings were swelled. I replaced them with two 25v caps and it is working just fine. All the other caps on the power board were 16v and above. So, I would assume they were shipped the wrong parts or they just put the wrong caps in to begin with. If you want to send me your power board I will fix it for $50.00 plus shipping.

Hey guys, I read the solution about replacing the 10v 1000muf caps in the power supply module. I was ready to throw the set out. I tore apart an old old old Jerrold 700 converter and found a couple of caps that were 1000muf. One was 26v and the other was 52v. Anyway, the set works great now and I now have a 37" LCD in my shop to watch the Leafs!!!!
Thanks for the advice.
StereoSteve.

Hello jrcgoat, First check your audio settings by going to the TV menu, making sure mute is off, and audio is set to mid range. Once that is done, if possible use the other HDMI port. Now if the other port is not functioning then the problem is in the circuits after the HDMI buss, however if the other port funcions the the problem is in the actual HDMI interface. Usually the port and the support circuits are on the same board, if they are for simplicity I would say to replace the board. However, if you have a background in electronics and have the equipment to do so, I believe that you can troubleshoot this issue and resolve it. The HDMI port is not the most stable of interfaces, that is why I always tell folks to turn off and unplug the TV and all devices until the HDMI interface is connected to the other device and then plug the TV and device in and turn them on. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

usually capacitors are the problem on the TDA03211c power supply. 450v (volts) @ 10uf. change both. beside inverter filters.
