That means you are getting bad signal. Nothing is wrong with the phone, GPS requires a major amount of data to work. It will not work well unless you have very good signal.

Check if it works with other sim, if not -> If there is warranty, you should go to local repair shop. Impossible to change the sim reader at home, without the right equipment -> multiple times more expensive than the phone.
I faced the same problem with my Samsung Ace S5830 that it keeps losing the network signal. I formatted the phone and still the same problem. I took the phone to the Samsung store and they opened the phone and cleaned it with some solution and i tried to use the phone for sometime and still the same. I was very frustrated with and unhappy with my phone as it is not even a month and it kept on losing the signal and sometimes would restart and would lose the battery charge. I tried doing this step( Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode>Select either GSM or CDMA(Depends on the provider) By default, it would be selected as GSM/WCDMA(Auto Mode) From Network Operators select the desired network and then restart the phone. Primero, tengo que ir dentro de su telefono hasta Bluetooth. Le aparece varios contenidos y tiene que "elejir buscar a los perifericos". El movil deberia buscar el mano libre y seleccionarlo cuando lo aparece en la pantalla, el codigo para enlazarlo.
Si el movil no puede ver el perifericos del movil, puede ser por varias razones y de hecho, tiene que cerrar el movil sacar la bateria y minuto y ponerla de nueva y buscar el periferico.

here are some solutions.
make sure battery is fully charged on AC charger before usinjg. connect it to DC car power after engin hjass been started to prevent spike damage to chip.
fit an external mouse antenna, not the cheap and nasty types thyat only raise 28 decibels contact Marbella Australia for their 50Decibel antenna its the best on the market and only available from them . . place Gps closer to your windscreen for a better view of the sky. keep away from other electronics like mobile phone radio etc to see if it works better.
It's not unusual to lose signal indoors , in fact most portable /car devices receive very little, if any, signal indoors.
I have a Navman ICN510 running TomTom 6.0 software , instead of the standard Navcar CE program. I believe it connects much faster.
