HI,
Did you reinstall the drivers for your wireless adapter? please check the device manager and confirm that wireless adapter is getting listed under "Network Adapters". and if the driver package includes a software which helps to configure the wireless adaptor , you can find it under Start-> All Programs menu. if there is no software provided with the driver package, follow the instructioss:
1. click Start and Run.
2.  in the Run command box. Type "services.msc" hit enter.
3. in the list check for a service named, Wireless Zero Configuration. check the status, if it is disabled, right click on it, go to properties and  select the startup type as "Automatic". click apply and click start.
4. now go to control panel and go to network connections, . if the drivers are properly installed for your wireless adapter , you can see a computer icon with a red x marx which has the name of your wireless adapter. right click on it and select the option view available networks, it will scan for signals and will give you a list of wireless netwok available in the range, select your network and connect, it will ask you for a key if its a secured network, enter the key and it will connect without any problems,
Hope this will help you.
Thanks,

Wireless wifi to my presario f700 pc not working,

Here is the problem, the Nvidia Chipset needs to be reflowed. Now if you have the right tools this an easy job, simply look up the reflow temp range and do it. I used a hot air SMD rig wrapped the board in aluminum foil several times, cut out the hole for the Chipset and slowly heated it up I used a digital thermometer and watched the temp range, at 300 F I turned it down and began to cool it. When completed I let it sit until cool. I pulled the thermal pad and replaced it with a penny. (I cleaned the penny, heatsink, and chipset, and lightly applied artic silver to both sides of the penny, and the onto the processor and put it all back together. When I booted the system recognized the wireless and has been working for about 6 hours now, I have moved it around held it under the case and all seems well. If its between the bin and trying it yourself, try it. a cheap heat gun can be had for as little as $9.

Presario f700 - network adaptor no longer visible - OS vista

Well you can re seat the card meaning the network card. You can also try the manufacturers website and download the drivers.

Or see what worked for others.

You could try www.nvidia.com and look for drivers for your
particular Chipset.

General Networking question

lets see here, your NVIDIA thing is for your ethernet port in your computer.

the wireless PCI adapter, is well, a wireless adapter, its used to connect your wireless, and a 1394 Net Adaptor Connection is basically Win2k/XP's way of telling you that you have a Firewire interface installed in your system.

so, if your going wireless, you dont need NVIDIA, and as your device manager shows that it has a red x on it, it shows that its disabled. as for everything else, i wouldent worry about it.
