have you tried doing a soft reset to the phone by removing the battery leaving the battery out for 1-2 min and reinserting and then try making a call

I have the same problem, but i know the location of the microphone as i have managed to open it once.
also i can use it by pressing my lips on the phone. you better try it too ;)

coz even without ur headset,the person on the other line could hear u..
so the mic should be replaced..
