Hi,
Once the screen is scratched there is no easy or affordable way to replace it...the best thing to do is to install a plastic screen protector as soon as you buy a new phone... they cost a few bucks, but are well worth the price...
Many popular phones have screen protectors made in exactly the right size for the phone...but there also are generic protectors that you can easily cut to fit any phone...

Be very careful and patient when installing the screen protector so that you do not get bubbles under the plastic...have a small piece of plastic or a Popsicle stick handy to smooth out the protector as you install it.

Hii,

I think you need to buy the best quality Screen Protector for your phone, because screen replacement is too much costly.

I've has my HTC desire 13 days and just dropped it on my driveway today. The screen is shattered bt all glass still intact and still appears to be working. Can you advise me as to whether this could be...

I'm not sure of the repair costs, but if you have accidental damage insurance on phone then it will be covered subject to a policy excess; some credit cards provide this cover for the first 90 days after purchase, but you need to check what's excluded. If you have home contents insurance with accidental and personal possessions cover then your phone might be insured but most specifically exclude mobile phones. On similar HTC models, a replacement screen supplied and fitted runs to around £100-£120 +VAT but you will only find out the correct cost by getting repair estimates. It's worth shopping around as some repair outlets are cheaper than others, but avoid the grotty high street booths typical to many UK towns: it's not unknown for them to take the opportunity to clone your phone whilst it is in their possession and this can lead to someone else making calls on another phone at your expense.

The phone was not sold as an armoured or ruggedised phone. But it has survived the fall onto a hard surface and is still substantially functional. This proves that the phone is durable and you are highly unlikely to have any claim under the UK Sale of Goods Act with respect to "durable quality". In any case, it's down to you as the owner to take suitable protective steps such as keeping the phone in a suitable exterior protective case and to exercise due care to prevent it from suffering such accidents.

Sorry, but unless you have suitable insurance cover then you're just going to have to swallow hard and chalk it up to experience.

I have an LG Versa. I scratched the screen on it.

If you took your phone in to verizon they would tell you you have to have it sent in for repairs as this is a very technical job. Since you used the word scratched and not cracked, you can try to buff the scratch out by purchasing some vehicle scratch remover and working it over the screen with a a cloth and then buffing it with a lint free one. The deeper the scratch the more work it will take, but it is pretty much sanding the screen on a fine level. And you will see results that surprise you.
It may sound awkward but if you do not have a warranty that will cover it then you have nothing to lose but the scratch. Set the phone on a flat surface witch cloth beneath it to prevent scratching the back up, and remove the keypad and put on the plastic backing that covers the battery. You want to use a smooth cloth, not like a sock due to the ruffles in it. Take your time and this works for car stereo screens and even headlights if you have the elbow grease.
If Verizon will not repair it have a go and if anything the scratch will definitely be alot smaller if it is a gash. 3M makes good rubbing compound so try them. Five bucks of a nice screen is worth it and purchase the screen protector as well for future technicalities.
Good luck an Happy holidays.

My screen on my lg kg800 is scratched how can i replace it with a new one

is the actual screen inside scratched or is the outer phone housing screen cover scratched? There is a difference. The actual LCD screen is inside the phone housing and is protected by the phones housing. If the actual LCD screen somehow was scratched it can be replaced very easily and usually inexpensively. Try Ebay for the LCD. If the phones outer clear housing is scratched you can also replace the housing either by purchasing the same phone used and using its housing or some "dummy" phones can be used for there housings also. If the scratch is not really bad I have used rubbing compound to remove fine scratches, good luck!

My wing has a blank white screen with a black scratch

i think your solution to your problems is the T-Mobile Wing Flex Cable that must of gotten cut.it is the ribbon cable that allows you to move lcd up and down, the installation of replacing the cable is very hard if you dont know what your doing, trust me your lcd is not broken.
