Energysaver 1004FTR heater wont start Hi we have got a rinnai energysaver 1004 FTR, does not start i set the timer right and everyting but he just starts and than goes off, any idee why? marco

Check for a blockage in the heat exchanger. Spiders love to make nests in these units. Remove the front cover and the two rectangular viewing ports on the front of the heat exchanger. Watch as the unit ignites. There are three burners you need to watch and the first one is in the center and hard to see. If there is flame but it goes out quickly, you have a blockage in the unit. Check the venting to make sure it is clear of debris.
