The timer motor on the timer that advances the timer is defective,replace the entire timer as a motor for the timer will be just as much as a timer if its available separatelyanyway

What you're describing sounds like a faulty timer. You will need to
access the timer & check the voltage with a meter so we will know
which direction to head into. If the timer motor is getting 120 volts
& the timer is not advancing, I recommend replacing the timer.ok
