Did you check the battery door? is it still a tight fit? Check to make sure the batteries are also still tightly installed. Other than that, Im sorry...but I'll have to say, if you want to find out what's wrong, you'll have to take it in and request an estimate for repair. Often repair is costlier than a new camera. Good Luck to you.

Camera stabilizer not available comes on the Casio EX-V7 as sson as I turn on the camera. How can I fix?

Update it to the newest Firmware. Search it on Casio website. The new firmware turns the stabilizer off. It's a well known problem with the V7. Have updated a lot of these - works every time.

My casio exilim Ex-V7 digital camera stabilizer won't work.

The software won't fix your problem. It's the dropping that's causing the camera malfunction.

"Lens error" cant figure out why?

There is a good chance that the lens on the camera is dead. I have a Casio Exilim EX-V7 that had a similar error before shutting off. Sent it in to Casio and the told me I needed a new lens for about $150. I hope you don't need to go through the same thing as me. good luck.

Hello,

It sounds as if you anitshake unit is faulty and will require replacing.

It comes as a complete lens and circuit board assembly.

Take it to your authorised Casio service centre for repair.
To find your closest log into www.casio.com select your region. go to support, contacts, product repairs, digital cameras and you should find the closest to you in there (i hope it is all the same as the Oceania site)

Hope this has help somwhat. :-)

LENS ERROR 2 on my Casio Ex-V7

I read on the Casio website that this is due to an impact, meaning, the camera must have fallen or hit something really hard and strong.

Lens error 2 indicates that there is something wrong in the lens assembly. One possible damage concerns the image stabilization mechanism.

I also own a Casio EX-V7. My sister dropped it so hard that a dent has appeared on one of the front corners. Everytime I switch on the camera on record mode, LENS ERROR 2 appears for a few seconds.

Despite this, I can happily use the camera as usual. However, it's just annoying to see the Error.

I'm planning to bring it to a service center within a month from now.

Dropped my EX-V7 Exilim Casio Camera the other day......

It is possible that the circuit board is broken. The camera would have to go to the manufacture service rep to have it repaired.

I found that generaly speaking most digital cameras are fragile unless you invest in a professional type that was designed to be roughly treated.

Resetting EX-V7 error message

Hey Go here
http://world.casio.com/qv/download/en/ex_v7_firmup/
Download the latest firmware. Install it. Like the rest of the people. It seems like we all dropped it. And updating the firmware seems to help a bit.
Meaning you can now use tha Camera and take pictures, but when you turn it on, you will get the same error message for like a second. Then the Camera is back to normal.
If its under warranty take it back. And dont tell them it was dropped.
Cheers !
