4. Navigate to the "Preferences" page using the right arrow key
5. Enter 138931
6. You will now see the current region code displayed
7. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the region required or "0" for all regions

Phillips DVP5140 dvd player

Sounds like there is a short in your AV cable. Move the video cable (marked with the yellow ends on it) and see it the color changes or use different set of av cables.

Press "Setup"
Scroll to "Preference" using the LEFT/RIGHT arrow key
Press "138931" and a pop-up screen will appear.
Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to choose the desired number ("0" for region free).

DVP5140 only reads DVDs

The DVD player have two lenses.;cd and dvd lense,the cd lense needs a little adjusment so can read again..

4. Navigate to the "Preferences" page using the right arrow key
5. Enter 138931
6. You will now see the current region code displayed
7. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the region required or "0" for all regions
8. Press the "Play" button on the remote


DVP 5106k

1 - Make sure there is no disk in the player
2 - Press EJECT on the remote or on the player. The eject icon has to be visible on screen for the hack to work!!!
3 - Press MENU (System) on the remote
4 - Press the RIGHT button on the remote until you get to the PREFERENCES screen
5 - Now enter the sequence 135566 with the remote control
6 - Now "Region Code" should appear
7 - Select the 0 (multiregion)
8 - Press MENU (System) on the remote to exit the setup screen
9 - Press the power button on the remote to set the player on standby, this saves the new setting.
