I have microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3000, the usb itself works but the mouse however doesnt even when i change new batteries, i tried reset the mouse but the lighting part appears black..help?

There are several different methods in resolving this issue. Before you perform these methods, make sure that the battery of your cordless mouse is fresh. Then, try this first method..
Method 1: Resynchronize your device with the receiver loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); To resynchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, follow these steps.
Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, put the device near the receiver and put any other wireless keyboards and mouse at least 6 feet away.
  1. Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.

Note Some newer Microsoft devices are permanently bound to their receiver and cannot be reset. If your device does not have a button, skip to Method 2.
  2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in several seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, go to the next step.
  3. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
  4. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 4 again.
  5. For the Wireless Notebook mouse: This issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a pin or a pen to try to release the button if it is depressed.
The following example shows the buttons to push to synchronize a wireless hardware device

Method 2: Install the latest software loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); Download and install the latest Microsoft IntelliPoint and/or IntelliType software. For more information, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

I hope these works for you. Should you need the other methods, kindly reply for follow up. Good Luck!

My Kensington wireless keyboard (Ci70) just stopped working. I have no idea why. The mouse works just fine. XP Pro SP 3. Have rebooted. Unplugged the USB interface device. Plugged back in. Rebooted....

Replace batteries in keyboard and re-sync the devices

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>- --> Synching Mouse or Keyboard with Wireless Optical Desktop trnsp.gif Question My mouse or keyboard doesn't work with my Wireless Optical Desktop (Model Number: 64373). What's wrong and how do I fix this problem? trnsp.gif Answer Your mouse or keyboard has lost its sychronization with the Wireless Optical Desktop, which can occur after changing the batteries, for example.

To synchronize your wireless device with its receiver:
  1. Move the device within three (3) feet of the receiver.
  2. Press the button on the receiver.
If the receiver has an LED, the light blinks.
  3. Within ten (10) seconds, press the button on the underside of your wireless device.
If the receiver has an LED, the light glows solidly when synchronization is successful.
Early production units of some wireless devices may require repeating the above instructions two or three times.

Timing, distance, and objects impeding the wireless signal may influence your success. While usually unnecessary, some customers have reported better results by:
  • Holding the wireless device very close, within three (3) inches of the receiver.
  • Entirely ignoring the receiver's light.
  • Simultaneously holding the buttons on both the receiver and the device for from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.
