No remote- Hi I recently purchased it on craigslist, no remote. Cant get into AV mode. Bought new Xbox remote- even when I press 'Input' No 0 or 1 channel which shows the familiar blue screen All wires are rightly connected

Check the input connections. The input connection to AV-2.

I assume that since you do not have remote you cannot choose another AV channel on your TV. If so you can use the RF input using a RF converter to AUDIO /VIDEO or if not the sky input must be shared through a VCR/DVD or multimedia/DTS amplifier

your going to have to get a mid priced universal with extended features. read the packaging. thrift stores sometimes have a bag wall with old remotes so if you have someone who goes to the thrift store sometimes tell them to start looking for either a vcr or tv remote that says emerson on it for you. directv and dish network universals have video input buttons, if you have eith of those providers go to their website, download or find the chapter where it shows how to set up your viseo input. it is shut off by default..

I imagine you have bought the new slim Xbox 360? Did you use a HDMI cable to connect it to your TV or did you use the standard cable? If you used a standard AV cable ensure that you connected the red and white cables into the same AV input as the yellow video cable.

u can go to av input by simply pressing the VIDEO button on ur remote. when first time u press the first input may select. press again and again until u get desired input. normally rca input may be video 1 , or video 2 . first check which input are u using. select the same using remote. To return to tv mode just press TV button on the remote.

If you cannot reach the AV input mode by scrolling through the channel up down, nor is there is a source or TV/AV button on the set it self, then the news is bad I am sorry. You will need the remote to get AV inputs on this set.
You can get a new remote for the set from here for $1995. Plus postage. Note that it has the TV/AV button.

Either your HDMI cable has come out or the input settings have changed. Select Menu or Setup from your remote control and see if your HDMI input is enabled. If not enable it.

You are absolutely correct. The reason why you cannot change your audio and video settings are due to the fact that you are in "Dynamic Fixed". Which is one of your many av modes. Av modes are different preset color settings and dynamic fixed is the only one that will lock your settings. Best Buy set it that way so that people could not just come by and alter the settings on the unit. AV modes are on all sharp lcd products and even though you have the wrong remote you should have an av mode button on the remote that came with it. Try pressing the av mode button and see what happens. When you press the av mode button, you will see your av modes change at the bottom of the screen. However, the issue still remains that you have the wrong remote. So there is a chance that you may press the av mode button on the remote that you have, but it still will may not work ONLY because you have the wrong remote. If the remote you have does not work, I GUARANTEE that pressing the av mode button on the proper remote will take care of that. You didn"t say already working in AV mode or not. Suppose if it is worked means this is the simple one just change programme (-) button in TV front panel till becomes 1 or 0. After 1 or 0 again you press down the same button you get AV mode. Even you won"t get try in menu features to change AV mode. Even you won"t get there is a problem in Micom section. Technical persons only sort out your problem by changing EEPROM ic. I hope the above information is useful to you.
