I have a Sony KP-57WS510 and am having problems converging. The red works fine however the blue cross on the outside colums of the convergence pattern is off to the left. I am unable to move these blue crosses far enough to the center to correct the problem. The picture on tv screen has a blue shadded bar on the left side and a yellow shadded bar on the right. I can temporarily correct the problem by turning the television off and then turn it back on. However, the problem does eventually return.

Tv have a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows or 3D pictures look alike?Tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.The tv convergence board must be replacing these parts to solved the tv convergence pisture problem.You have all the tools and can do basic electronic and soldering.Tries websites like Tvrepairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a tv convergence kit that belong to ur tv model and repair it ur self.The shop will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

You can get original Sony STK392-560 chips from www.TvRepairKits.com. They have a OEM chips from Sony and come in the original Sony boxes. There limited supply.

It sounds like the Convergence circuit is failing. If that is the case you have two STK-392-560's that need to be replaced on the Deflection Board. A touch up on the convergence alignment may be needed. This is accessible only in the Factory Service Mode. To be sure, you may want to get a professional to come out and evaluate it.

did you check the two IC protectors on the G power supply board? Often they can blow when the ICs fail they are ps001 and PS002 they are brown 5 amp " Pico Fuses"

You didnt replace the STK's? You must replace the convergance IC's or you will continue to have this problem.

Your set uses two STK392-560 convergence ICs they are attached to a large heat sink on the D board. You can save your self about 400 for a twenty minute repair by getting new ICs at the following link as trhey provide free instalation instructions with pics so you can do the job yourself. It only requires basic soldering skills I would order about six 4.7ohm 1/2 watt resistors as well just in case you need them asusually sonys' will burn one or two of the 4.7ohm convergence resistors when the ICs fail.
