I cant registermy nuvi 255wt i downloaded the register program but still can get there

You register your GPS using the Garmin Express program from Garmin. Down load and install the program, then connect your GPS to your PC. The program will prompt you to register the GPS.

First step is to make sure that the USB cable is not third party, and a Garmin miniUSB. If it is and your still having issues connecting try a different USB slot.

You should be able to but you need to have the European map edition. You can download it to your GPS from the Garmin Nuvi site.

you can go HERE to the garmin website registration page and register your nuvi. if you dont have an account, youll have to create one before you can register it.

• Connect your satnav to your computer with the mini USB lead
• Go to www.garmin.com and select your country from the drop-down list
• Click on the "myGarmin tab" at the top of the screen
• Click on "Register your garmin product"
• Click on "Automotive"

Follow the prompts. You'll be asked to create a username and password. Keep them safe as you'll need them to update your maps later.

Mine says the same thing. I think it's a Best Buy only thing... still researching it though.

I assume you refere to the message asking you to close browser after you install the communicator plug-in this is normal and happens with several downloads you will stil lbe online so please close the borwsers and the download will complete allowing you to reopen the browsers once this is done

The Garmin web site (link provided below) offers downloading of manuals for all their products free of charge. Choose "Mobile Electronics" market, followed by "Automotive" and in the third box, scroll down to your Nuvi. Choose the manual and language you prefer.

You have to go to the Garmin web site at http://www.garnin.com . Then click on the Support Tab then down to Product Registeration selection. You will need you serial number and your model number when registering. You will also need to create an account on the same page. This will also give you a free map update. Good Luck
