Hello;

Sony suggests that you take your computer to a service center to have the lithium battery changed. However, these batteries are usually located on the motherboard of your computer. It's just a small 3 volt button battery ( CR2032) which you can buy at most any store for $3.00 or less.
Turn-off your computer, open the case, and look for a small, circular ,silver-colored battery about 1/2 to 3/4 inches in diameter.

Where is the battery door to install a new internal battery on Sony Vaio computer model VGC V520G? What size battery is needed?

Good Day,
The battery is usually located at the bottom, locked in by one or two latches.
chiefmecha_2.jpg
chiefmecha_3.jpg
as you can see on the pictures, it is situated on the bottom on the laptop itself. it is locked it by one or two latches, that can be located by looking for a pad lock sign adjacent to the battery itself.
For you "battery size" concern, the battery should be only replace by the same type as with your old one. There are "longer" capacity batteries on the market, but be sure that is recommended or allowed to be used in a Sony Vaio.
For better results, and peace of mind, buy batteries at Sony centers. That way you can be sure that it is genuine, and your laptop would be safe from failures caused by using "fake" sub-standard batteries.
Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya.

VGC-LT19U This unit has been in storage for 2yrs, and on started up is asking for bios password. I have no idea, called support got a run around and hung up. Please help.

You can remove a BIOS password from any computer by removing the BIOS battery from the machine for about five minutes, and then replacing it. The BIOS battery is a small circular battery, similar to a watch battery.

You can find more information about where the BIOS battery is located in your laptop by consulting the manufacturers documentation which can be found at the link below.

What is the average life time od sony Vaio Model PCG-384L Battery? Where is the best place to buy one?

Hello, The average life time of laptops batteries are usually 2-3 years, a good one before they start failing, they will not be able to last the number of hours they do last before, including your sony VAIO, but i must let you know also that the number of the lithium ion cells the battery is made of matters, for example a 6-1on cell, last more than 3, a 12-ion cell last more than 6 However you can get a replacement battery from any good computer stores nearest to your home. Or you can also order it online or if you have any sony stores around you, you can get it from there. But you can consider getting it online from reputable computer stores online. Regards

Need to replace the pc card on model pcv7764

There is no such thing as a pc card. If you are talking about a video card, it's a PCI video card and it is located inside the case. Your monitor will plug into it on the outside, so open the case, remove the screw securing it to the back of your case and gently pull out the card.

Wireless mouse locks up

I would suggest investing in a USB mouse. They never have this problem and are very cheap to buy. I have found that wireless mice are prone to problems. I would say there is a problem in the connection between your mouse and the laptop but this sort of problem is quite hard to find. As I said, you are better off with USB mouse.
