No my solution is not inappropriate so you should change my rating.. you just have to buy a new panel or tv. there's no way to fix if panel is broken.http://www.lcdparts.net/images/Troublesh...

Hello:
The symptom you are describing could be one or two things, if it works for a while then starts to act up this coulb be an indication of a bad solder joint. But it may also be the CRT or the picture tube. Try tapping on the sides when it starts to act up while watching the picture to see if it clears when its tapped on. If it does then you have cold solder joints on the main board, this is a easy fix. IF it does'nt then I suggest you contact your store for warranty info to have the CRT replaced or the television exchanged. Since its still under warranty you might as well use it before it expires...

Blue Tint Right side of screen

You have dust on the lcd image plate and about all you can do there is take it too the shop. Unless you have an expensive dust free enviroment and know how to dismantle the light engine...
It's not an expensive fix for a qualified shop - call around and explain what you have here in your post. A good shop will know what this is right away...

Blue tint and lines on screen.

Those lines sound like "retrace lines" and several things can cause them. The most common are shorts inside the picture tube and shorted semiconductors in the video driver circuits. They can also be seen if the blue screen voltage is too high or if someone has tampered with the screen voltage control.

Blue Tint

Most likely cause would be a loose solder connection that expands as the set warms up until it no longer makes a connection. You may get the blue to come and go by hitting the side of the cabinet after the set is warmed up awhile. (don't hurt your hand doing this, and don't keep doing it to "fix" the set. The connection will have to be located and repaired). Otherwise, there could be a component going bad, including the blue picture tube.
