First try checking and testing the batteries in the keyboard to see if they are good and working, if they are fine then try reinstalling the Bluetooth software using the CD that you acquired with your wireless devices. Then if that doesn't fix the problem then check if the adapters are configured well and also if the keyboard is in range. if it still doesn't work read the instructions perhaps something is missing.

SOURCE: wireless keyboard numbers on right not working and wireless mouse light not on

My Dell wireless keyboard doesn't work. I replaced the batteries in it and pressed the green button on the back of it then the button on the wireless thing plugged into the computer. That light blinks for a few seconds then stops but the keyboard still doesn't work. My wireless mouse works fine.

SOURCE: Trust keyboard and wireless mouse

Normal 0 Assuming that you have good batteries installed, turn the Keyboard over and locate the small reset/connect button on the back of the keyboard and press it. Then try typing to see if it is working. If not try pressing the button on the receiver and then on the keyboard. Try typing, should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: wireless keyboard and mouse not working, battery in receiver?

The receiver has no batteries. It runs off of the USB port. Is the red light on under the mouse? Is there a small connect button on the receiver? Push it. How about on the mouse? Keyboard too? Go ahead and post the model number.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I cannot get my keyboard or my mouse to work with my dell computer. what can i do?

Please add more information to get specific assistance. Are these wireless devices? If wired, do they use USB or PS/2 connections.

For wireless devices, try replacing the batteries and resynching to the receiver. (You may want to check putting the receiver in different USB ports.)

For wired devices, disconnect and reconnect. For PS/2 devices, you will need to restart the computer to check if the devices work. For USB devices, try connecting to different USB ports.

Next step, try using a different keyboard and mouse (that work on another computer (stick to USB or PS/2 to match the current pair)). Try a wired set if the problem is with a wireless pair. If those work, continue diagnostics on the wireless keyboard and mouse. Check if the mouse and keyboard work on another computer. If they don't work with another computer, replace them.

If another USB keyboard and mouse pair don't work in any port, your USB ports may have failed. Check if even one port works enough to access the Device Manager. (Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager (Win7); similar directions in other versions of Windows) Check for a problem with the drivers (For USB ports, scroll down to the USB drivers and look for a triangle with a yellow exclamation point or red x). Try to update the driver or roll it back. If that doesn't help and one USB port works, a USB hub may solve the problem.

Otherwise if the USB or PS/2 ports do not work with any devices and the driver fix doesn't work, then I'd suspect a problem with the ports on the motherboard. Replace the motherboard/computer.

I hope this helps.

Wireless keyboard and mouse works fine with computer but when I attempt to use it on the f1dh104l switch it does not recognize the mouse or keyboard. it is a dell e6400 laptop that i'm attempting to...

the problem is that most Wireless Keyboard and Mice combos use Composite USB, the KVM however is expecting one signal on each entry port (one for mouse, and one for Keyboard).

replace yoru wireless Combo for a standard Keyboard and Mouse to make this work.

A work around would be using a MS Wireless Mouse and a different brand of Wireless Keyboard using both Wireless receivers and plug them into different ports on the KVM
