I bought learn ro speak English 10 Deluxe today. It installs Ok on myXP desktop but not on my vista laptop. It hangs with Error 1305 message saying it has trouble reading a file ending in EECM10.mov.

well this might be the issue because of the problem with the incompatible installer or if the OS is not up to date so try to update the OS and try to install it.
ERROR 1305 is an error code returned when the cdrom can't read the disk either because it is a bad disk or a problem with the cdrom drive, I would contact this site: http://www.hallmarksoftware.com/support/support.aspx it may solve your problem. call them on the phone, tell them the problem and they may be able to help you.
