My microwave KEN CJ/99SS does not rotate anymore

Look underneath, there may be a panel that exposed the drive belt and motor. They should be fully assembled apart from the placing the turntable and the ring on the drive.

You probably loaded the turntable too much. There is a small compartment on the bottom. YOu have to open this to access the motor. Replace the motor.

My Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 Microwave / oven / grill has recently developed a problem. Every time I close the door the turntable starts rotating, even when I'm not using it. It doesn't make a noise, and doesn't seem to be going into any cooking setting, and the light doesn't come on, but it turns until I open the door, when the light comes on and the turntable stops turning. This has only recently started happening, and nothing else seems to be wrong with it, Is this safe or should I get rid of it and buy a new one. The guarantee has expired so repair may be cost prohibitive.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

you should try a local wal-mart or even radio shack as these bulbs are somewhat common in many small appliances. Also, you may check at a local appliance repair shop.

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part
