the heating source is the magnetron and it is not cheap .go to searspartsdirect.com and price the new one. you only need to enter your model #

Sharp 1870 just quit cooking and no turntable

The fact that the microwave and convection both do not heat indicated that the oven is in demo mode, check the user manual, otherwise it will possibly be a relay not triggering, may need a pcb replacement, check Demo mode 1st....Phil

Microwave oven does not heat anything. Clock, turntable, lights work. I turned the turntable off while the oven was cooking--heard a noise, now it doesn't heat anything.

Spacemaker XL 1400 worked for 7 years.Yesterday, no more heat. Also plastic door damaged.
will try Panasonic or something commercial

have a GE xl1800 microwave that is not heating the food. The lights work, turntable turns etc. all but no heat. Help this microwave is only 1 years old.

My suggestion would be to find a replacement magnetron, as that's what provides the heat.

Also, if you're not aware, there was a recall on that particular model: Faulty microwave fire risk prompts recallCurrys recalls Kenwood and...
It might be best to get a new one just to be on the safe side, but if you're looking for a quick fix, go with the magnetron.
