Xbox 360 does not play old xbox games. i have an elite and it will not play land of the dead from the old xbox concole is it compatible or is there an adapter i can buy to plug int my elite to convert and play this game?

Sorry to be the one to break this to you mate, but the Tevion steering wheel is only compatible with the following;

• Game Cube
• Playstation 1
• Playstation 2
• PC
• Original Xbox

Now I can not guarantee this will work, but before you give up completely, Try Using the USB plug for the PC in one of the USB ports for the xbox 360 elite. They are located to the right of the front if you have your xbox 360 elite lying down flat, under a small flap. I use a Keyboard intented for a computer with my xbox 360 S in the same manner, so hopefully that will work.

There is a requirement for backwards compatibility and that is you have to have a hard drive for your Xbox 360. If you bought a Core system you can't play original Xbox games on your system until you buy a hard drive

Okay, the Xbox 360 isn't reverse compatable, meaning you can't play regular xbox 360 games on it. The only version that is reverse compatable is the Xbox 360 Elite. SOrry :(

sorry but only a hand full of original xbox games like halo 2 are compatible with the xbox 360.

You don't the xbox motherboard is not compatible with the components or the games or the firmware. And even if they were it would be cheaper to buy an xbox 360 elite which are only $200 now then all the parts needed to upgrade your xbox.

Some game are compatible with the new xbox 360. They are called backwards compatible and you do need to flash upgrade the OS on the new xbox 360 system.

You need to go to the xbox website and go to support and download the flash update then burn it to disk and put it on the xbox to update the software. Again not all old games are compatible with the new xbox system. If your buying used games like I do make sure it says bc next to the title before buying them.

there are alot of old xbox games that wont work on the new xbox 360 (elite or otherwise), unfortunately until Microsoft get their act together with updates for backwards compatible capabilities on more games we'll just all have to wait.

Word is that backward compatibility to games of the old console is excellent, but this applies mostly to XBOX hits. Games like Halo 1 & 2, Knight of the Old Republic 1,2 , Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and a handful of others are in that list. Updates to the rest of the games will gradually come out, and will be distributed through XBOX Live, so that whoever owns a copy of the game could play it in the new console. We hope that eventually all the games will be patched to the 360, but you got to wait and see.
