Hi,

Easy- you will need to use washing powder; unlike the liquid detergent it will not soak into the vanish powder making it solid!

Hi again- yes, Either that or I would put the powder direct into the drum first....but my wife doesn't like that ;-0)

How do you use the tub clean?

Read these instructions carefully before
beginning the TUB CLEAN cycle.
1
Open the door and remove any clothing in
the wash drum.
2
Open the dispenser drawer.
3
Add liquid chlorine bleach or tub cleaner.
Some powder or tablet tub cleaners which
are manufactured for this purpose can be
used.
(NOTE : Do not add any laundry detergent
or fabric softener to the drawer when using
TUB CLEAN.)
- If using liquid chlorine bleach
Add liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach
compartment of the drawer.
(NOTE : Do not exceed the maximum
fill line and do not pour undiluted liquid
bleach directly into the wash drum.)
- If using powder cleaner
Remove the liquid detergent cup and
add powder cleaner to the main wash
compartment of the drawer.
- If using tablet cleaner
Add tablet cleaner to the wash drum
directly.
(NOTE : Do not add tablet cleaner to the
drawer.)
4
Close the drawer and washer door.
5
Select TUB CLEAN and press START.
NOTE : It is recommended that TUB CLEAN
should be repeated monthly.
If mildew or musty smell already exists, run TUB
CLEAN for 3 consecutive weeks.
After TUB CLEAN is complete or when the washer
is not used, leave the washer door open for better
ventilation and drying inside of the washer

Why can't I use liquid color-safe bleach in Kenmore Elite top loading washer?

IF the instructions advise against using bleach in that machine then it is probably because the bleach will affect certain parts / rubbers of the machine and will lead to costly repairs if used.. Try a bleach free soil remover like nappy-san or vanish pink in conjunction with a liquid detergent rather than a powder detergent

After adding the persil powder in the machine I cannot see any foam while the machine is washing plus I don't smell the soap on the clothes as if they are not clean

If you are using the powder or the liquid then you can see if this is used and the condition of the clothes must confirm., If not increase the quantity on the tray.

I do most of my shopping online and liquid bleach sometimes doesn't ship without breaking. Is it OK to use dry or powder bleach? I have the whirlpool cabrio top load large capacity model.

It should be okay to use dry bleach, if you follow the instructions on the bleach. Some bleaches require dissolving in water first, others can be used dry.

Do I put powder detergent in the same place I put Liquid detergent?

Detergent compartment
Add liquid or powdered detergent to this compartment for your
wash cycle. The detergent separator must always be in place,
either in the front or back position.
Do not fill beyond the “MAX” level.
Liquid or powdered color-safe bleach may be added to the
Main Wash compartment along with the same type of
detergent, liquid or powdered.
Liquid detergent: Put the SEPARATOR in the front position,
between the guides, as shown as shown by Position 1 below.
There will be no gap between the bottom of the wash cycle detergent
compartment and the bottom of the separator.

Powdered detergent:
Put the SEPARATOR in the back
position, behind the guides as shown by Position 1 below. There will be
a gap between the bottom of the wash cycle detergent
compartment and the bottom of the separator.

NOTE: The separator will be in the POWDER (back) position
when shipped from the factory.

Washing powder and conditioner draw keeps getting blocked

The easiest thing would be to switch to liquid detergent or a different brand of powder. There might be diminished water flow. Try cleaning the nozzles where the water comes into the dispenser at.

Bosch axxis washing machine detergent symbols

There are usually 3 compartments in the drawer, the smallest is for using fabric conditioner, the largest is where you put the powder or detergent in, the middle size one you do not put anything in, as it is where the cold water comes in for rinsing.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

What kind of detergent do I use on my Malber WD 1000?

Choice of detergent should be straightforward subject to personal preference;

Concentrated is usually more economical, as you don't have to use as much as with UNconcentrated.

Liquid or powder is no contest, it's liquid every time, it dissolves better in harder water areas and doesn't clog up your dispenser.

Brand choice depends on where you live, we use Persil but supermarket own brands are usually a lot cheaper eg Carrefour.

Hope this is useful
